Grand Canyon

My parents came out to Arizona the first week of June. It was so much fun having them out here. The one thing that my Dad wanted to do while they were here was go to the Grand Canyon. And we did just that. I had to drive the whole way there and the whole way back and the entire time we were there. Most of the way to the Canyon and back my Mom slept and my little sister, Tracie read. And Dad enjoyed every minute of not having to drive. He was spoiled! There were so many beautiful places to take pictures at and we took advantage of that fact. Mom and Dad made fun of me a little bit because I am not camera shy and every chance possible I was posing in front of a picture even if I had to take the photo myself.

Other highlights of the week included hitting the mall and making a really cute bag to carry our primary books to and from church in. The downside of the bad is that it is girly and Denton is refusing to carry something is has any frills on it.

While my Dad was here Denton even got in on the fun of learning something new. Denton learned how to change his brake pads. Something that has needed to get done for quite some while. And he learned how to replace the headlights and brake lights on our cars. We also learned that our futon is comfortable enough to spend a week on and don't sleep on the edge or you will fall out. Overall it was a great week and we hated seeing them go home.
